Sentence reduced for convicted Welsh pedophile

Featured Replies

Convicted Welsh pedophile Michael Glyn Jones had his sentence reduced from eight to five years yesterday during a hearing at the Court of Appeal.

Jones was sentenced in April for the sexual abuse of four girls, purchasing youngsters for child prostitution and indecent acts against a minor.

Judge Tith Sothy Boraleak listened to the concluding remarks of the prosecution and defence before determining that Jones had not had sex with the victims.

Justice in Cambodia, pretty much like in the old wild west, depend on the judge of the day and his mood, and how well

palms were greased,,, if this guy had no sexual contact with the young girls, why is he still in jail and why dose

he have to pay compensations to them? this article say something but leaves a lot unanswered....

An interesting juxtaposition of news articles today. There is this one and the piece about the International Bar Association’s (IBA) Human Rights Institute that "found that Cambodia’s judiciary is ridden with endemic corruption, bribery and political influence, and has recommended the IBA reconsider the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s membership in the international body".

Hopefully he doesn't last 5 years in jail,Most people in jail Don't like rockspiders/pimps/slavery ,, With some luck he will be exterminated very soon,,

Once again someone jumping to conclusions because they didn't read the article properly:-

"Judge Tith Sothy Boraleak listened to the concluding remarks of the prosecution and defence before determining that Jones had not had sex with the victims."

The sentence was reduced, not because he had no sexual contact with them, but because he did not have sex with them.

By the way, if he was guilty of the other charges, I think that he should have been jailed for longer! i.e. :-

"Jones was sentenced in April for the sexual abuse of four girls, purchasing youngsters for child prostitution and indecent acts against a minor."
