Heavy Rain

Featured Replies

Extremely heavy rain in Hua Hin. Area south of The Amari. Power out. Been raining heavily for about two hours now. Local flooding of streets. Thunder and lightning. Moderate winds.

Yes, extremely heavy rain. I expect large parts of town will be flooded

Looks like it's Hua Hin's turn for floods:

no flooding between the 94 and 88, except a power cut between 23 am and 3 am, and not yet in all the houses.

power was off and on all last night. Maybe four times.

i unplugged all electronics so I would not take a hit.

no rain today in South HH.

Cellphone internet data worked during power outage.

I have a AIS portable battery operated wifi hot spot.

External cellphone batteries are also flashlights.

god forbid if my Thai girlfriend lost connection to Facebook. :)

of course i wanted to see what was happening too.

good photos almost in real time last night of flooding.

for pictures 5-6-7 and 8, in which streets it was, or how high Petckasem, hoping that no one was injured. Thank you

You made me do it,,,,

i could be wrong, those photos are around/ in front of the new water park south of HH. and in the area of soi 112.

reading on another forum, and looking around a bit myself, i did not see any horrible damage.

nothing like collapsed buildings or flooded condo sub basements.

or not like 5 feet of water or anything like that. more like up to the bottoms of cars or a bit more in depth.

their are photos of cars that drove into very deep flooded areas and they are the exception.

i have not heard of anyone reporting their house is under water. but i could be wrong.

Thanks for the pics, was only there last week enjoying beautiful weather in the national park and at the beach, crazy how quickly things can change.

Extremely heavy rain in Hua Hin. Khao Takiap area. Been raining heavily all night and this morning. Local flooding of streets. Thunder and lightning. Moderate winds.

not as bad as last months TS.

based on the rain at my location in Khao Takiap area, I think we will see flooding the usual places today in HH.

it has been raining very heavily all last night and this morning.

not a day to be on the highway or unnecessary travel.
