September 22, 201510 yr Hearye hearye, boycott Gulliver's Travel Associates! Wearing a t-shirt to promote a destination where others will be hurt, ripped-off or treated with disdain, especially by the police, is tantamount to the criminal charge of depraved indifference. Why would anyone knowingly want to put others in harms way?
September 22, 201510 yr This just HAS to be for Thai tourism for Thais. How on earth is a slogan like that welcoming or encouraging for foreign tourists ? Stronger together sounds like a protest slogan or for peoples rights or something...or a recruiting program Amazing tourist campaign it sure aint. Edited September 22, 201510 yr by englishoak
September 23, 201510 yr What they mean by "Stronger Together" is that it is easier for 4, 6 ,8 of them to jump on a tourist to stomp him into a pulp, than it is for one.
September 23, 201510 yr Who on earth dreams this stuff up, do they get paid with pea nuts, surly, school children could do better
September 23, 201510 yr That is a mastermind idea, to give free t-shirts. That will be the marketing cracker. In addition they could also give some free noodle soups and free toilett paper.

Stronger together sounds like a protest slogan or for peoples rights or something...or a recruiting program Amazing tourist campaign it sure aint. This campaign, without the catchy slogan, has been reported elsewhere as being aimed at the domestic market. Like you I really don't understand the reasoning behind the slogan; it does sound like something political. On another point, what's happened to the new 30m projection for tourist numbers? Looks like we're back to the old figure. Can't wait for next week's announcement, though there are plenty more tourism departments to produce some more conflicting reports in the next couple of days.
September 23, 201510 yr They should write a book. How to get people to support a political campaign , without them knowing it.!!! There will be no colour divide. Only a national unity state. Because thailand is special.
September 23, 201510 yr Tourists don't want a lousy Tshirt and they already know Thailand is cheap. What they want is the assurance not to be ripped off, raped, or killed.
September 23, 201510 yr Gullible Travel would be more appropriate - and they will get a T-shirt to prove it!
September 23, 201510 yr What they mean by "Stronger Together" is that it is easier for 4, 6 ,8 of them to jump on a tourist to stomp him into a pulp, than it is for one. I find it sad that nobody recalls poor old Gulliver. The name of the travel agency says it all. Edited September 23, 201510 yr by jaywalker
September 23, 201510 yr "Stronger Together" has a sort of Junta-esque feel to it. Kind of like Ein Volk, ein Reich, ein Führer. In addition to the tee-shirt, each participant will receive an A4 sized glossy photograph of the Prime Minister, suitable for framing.
September 23, 201510 yr Tourists are advised to travel together in herds to avoid the predators that can be found at popular resorts such as Phuket, Pattaya and Samui. There's strength in numbers Remember, it's a jungle out there. Welcome to Untamed Thailand. Edited September 23, 201510 yr by ratcatcher
September 23, 201510 yr ...duh...Thailand has got so lawless that it is now....SAFER TOGETHER......... Who comes up with these slogans.....another "fail" from TAT
September 23, 201510 yr So much for "Discover Thainess." Can't wait to see how well THIS campaign fails flourishes.
September 23, 201510 yr Missing the phrase "to lure in tourists" in the headline and text... and no finger pointing or photo of some Chinese "quality tourists"... boring!
September 23, 201510 yr Can't wait for the Chinese tour groups wearing these stupid, but free T-shirts en mass. I can see them marching lock step behind their handlers beaming with happiness in getting a free t-shirt. The stronger together propaganda is so transparent it's obvious. If your against the junta your somehow against their concept of government and implicit that your not supportive of Thailand. These simpletons. Edited September 23, 201510 yr by Praematura

September 23, 201510 yr They really need to as Thailand is getting a bad reputation (Koh Tao farce,Temple bombing blunders.known RTP corruption etc) around the world and is getting more Chinese tourists who spend less per head than most farang.
September 23, 201510 yr ...duh...Thailand has got so lawless that it is now....SAFER TOGETHER......... Who comes up with these slogans.....another "fail" from TAT I must take exception to your comment. "SAFER TOGETHER" was my slogan. It came to me after being inspired by the imaginative and memorable "STRONGER TOGETHER" used by TAT.
September 23, 201510 yr https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Love_New_York Going strong since 1977. But here they change every couple months to things more and more nonsensical each time.
September 23, 201510 yr Remember this? My favorite tourist scheme in Thailand. http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/665154-jasmine-rice-to-be-sold-as-souvenir-at-thai-airports/

September 23, 201510 yr Somebody is getting desperate up to their "High Season" ... Maybe bookings is not as hoped for ... Another failure for TAT
