Will your Non-B extension always be extended for 1 year?

Featured Replies

Hello,

Both my Non-B extension and WP as well as my contract expire

early next year. I might renew my contract for only 3 months.

I'd love to renew my WP for only 3 months simply because it costs

you only 750B, which is much cheaper than 3,000B for a 1-year

renewal.

How much longer will my Non-B extension be extended for then,

just 3 months or 1 year?

Thank you in advance.

Probably just 3 months unless you have supporting documents to allow a one year extension.

Hello Joe,

Thanks for your info as always.

As for a WP renewal, exactly which one is right, 3 months or 90 days?

Will the expiry date of my WP I've got on me now be included in the

renewal period or not?

It will be 3 months. The work permit extension starts at the end of the current one.

So if my WP expires on Feb. 1 and renew it, it'll then expire on April 30.

Am I correct?

Not sure how they do the dates on work permits. It might be dated May 1st.

Alright. Thanks, Joe!

Should your employer not be paying for your work permit?
