sriracha john Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 (edited) Europeans Make Illegal ATM Withdrawal Employees turned up at the Kasikorn Bank in Chonburi a few days ago to find a hole in the wall where their ATM hole-in-the-wall cash dispensing machine was previously located. Realising the machine was incapable of walking off on its own, especially since it contained 4.2 million baht, the bank employees alerted police. A security camera set-up to monitor the ATM caught three men of European appearance performing a sterling effort of lifting the 200 kilogram machine into the back of a pick-up. When the news of the daring theft was broadcast on Thai television a local man (lipbalm?? get any reward???) who rents pick-ups from Soi X-Zyte recognized the three men and informed police. He gave the passport details of the men to the police who then went to the intriguingly-named BS Apartments on Third Road and managed to detain two men, Milan Nikoric, aged 35, and Larsic Branislav aged 46, both carrying Yugoslavian passports. A third man was fortunate to be out at the time police arrived and is now thought to be on the run. The men told police they had dumped the ATM machine, minus its cash haul, near Mabrachan Lake. Police were able to recover just 2 million of the 4.2 million baht. - PCN The taller goof compounds their crime by besmirching the good name of University of Michigan (USA) with his copied athletic shorts.. that's worthy of additonal jail time (the besmirching part, not the copied part)... but anyway... enjoy your new accomadations, fellows....
