When I first came in thailand I went to the tesco and saw some sausages that looked like salami or italian cured sausage, although expensive I was really happy that they had some here, until I tasted it, It was awful, it was sweet, fatty, juicy and had a weird texture like it fermented in sugar, since it was expensive and they all looked the same, I never tried any again, but I just thought I could ask you guys, do any of you know any sausages that are salty, NOT sweet and taste somehow like real cured sausage like this: https://www.google.co.th/search?q=cured+sausage&espv=2&biw=1920&bih=947&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0CAYQ_AUoAWoVChMIkersyqmXyAIVykCOCh3SYwOa

you can find the tesco sausages here: (I am actually making an order right now) http://shoponline.tescolotus.com/en-GB/Product/BrowseProducts?taxonomyId=Cat00001278

Also, do anyone know if this is any good, and salty, not sweet (I am a big fan of beef, pork, turkey jerky): http://shoponline.tescolotus.com/en-GB/ProductDetail/ProductDetail/6017377579

Thanks!

I agree with meatboy. All the Tesco sausages here are Chinese dried sausages.

They are sweet, God knows what's in them and they don't need refrigeration.

The best place for European style dried meats/sausages etc is either Central food floor Chidlom and other branches, Siam Paragon food floor, Emporium Food store, Foodland or Villa Market. Once again. you will find most of these places quite expensive.

Yeah, I went to the rimping market yesterday and found some pepperoni at 80b and something that looks like prosciuto at 140b for 100g, pre packed.

The best place I've found yet is at the Ragu, an italian restaurant in the promenada mall, in Chiang Mai, they have real prosciuto at 88b/100g and a bunch of other good deli meats that they cut for you, as well as a lot of good cheeses.
