Direct transport form Bangkok to Koh Chang?

Featured Replies

There seem to be plenty of bus services that will take you from the Airport, Mo Chit, Anusawari etc. to Trat on the mainland. However then you have to organise a ride form the bus station to ferry, the ferry itself and once on the island, a song taew to your hotel.

1) I found one company that offers two services (Bus 382 and The Lonely Beach Express) that go from Suvarnabhumi to your hotel on the island for 600B per person, but their website says they can't take online bookings and nobody answers the phone. For all I know the service could be dead. They have 2 websites

2) This company takes you there in a sedan and charges 4500B. I certainly don't need a private service, but it could be the only other option.

Anyone know any good alternatives?

You can always rent a car and drive yourself.whistling.gif

Suvarnabhumi Burapha Bus Company

It is really quite straight forward.

Not sure where you will start, but if you can get to the bus station at Ekamai early enough, you can take a bus to Trat/pier. Easy enough to get the ferry and a baht bus on the island to your hotel. Prices are fixed an reasonable.

Good luck.

Have a great day

Alternatively, there is the '999' which takes you to the piers for 250 baht.

yes, it's comfortable and almost empty in rainy season.

7.45 and 9.45 am everyday from Ekamai bus station , at the pier , just jump on the ferry, on the island get a shared taxi, altogether about 450 B.

About how many hours drive?

Did you actually bother to click through the link?!

The OP seems to want to travel from the airport. Bus leaves at 8:20am & 10:20am

Depending on bus or taxi, 4 to 5 hours to reach the pier from the airport.
