October 2, 201510 yr You'll need to explain what you're trying to do. What you've written is incomprehensible. You'll also need to mention what operating system you're using.
October 2, 201510 yr There is a program called dtsearch which will index the files on your computer and let you search it. It's not free but I believe there is a free trial, once that's up it's $200 for a license. Google 'dtsearch' if you're interested. It works with DOC, PDF and a whole load of other file formats. This is a professional tool, hence the price. Edited October 2, 201510 yr by ukrules
October 2, 201510 yr Author Appreciate your replies. For clarification = I´m in the middle to change from W8 to W10. I need a simple search in a comprehensive PDF for certain terms. That´s it. Hope that helps, AyG Free trail would do it for the task at hand. Will try it . Nothing for free out there..... to keep?
October 2, 201510 yr Author One more, thanks. Another question = there are Web sites with info running over several pages. Is there a tool for finding a specific term on any of the pages. I. E. without going through page 1 by 1?

For example, if you wanted to find all pages in the News forum on this website which mention "eggs" you could Google for eggs site:http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/forum/18-thailand-news/ Currently this brings back 4 results, from the News front page and pages 222, 990 and 1027. E. without going through page 1 by 1? Yes there is. For IE it is; Tools/File/Find on this page EDIT: Sorry, didn't read your question properly. You still need to go through page by page but the "Find on this page" query remains until you close it. Edited October 3, 201510 yr by thedemon
