September 30, 200619 yr Just 2 hours ago they started the new tunnel project between Patong and Phuket City. The first 2 meters of digging into the ground was done late afternoon with the help of this concrete truck: Let's hope they are finished before high season starts again! September 30, 200619 yr Another lorry with break failure no doubt. I remember a few years ago now, a lorry running out of control down the hill in to Patong; it wiped out several vehicles including a Police patrol car. Unbelievably nobody was injured. Pity the tunnel project never got off the ground, a lot of money was wasted on the satellite feasibility study.
