wordchild
can anyone recommend a hospital or clinic in bangkok with pediatric physio specialists. We have a child who needs some regular physio we have tried a couple of places, incl bumrungrad, and not found anything satisfactory as yet. (it doesnt seem to be a particularly high skilled occupation in Thailand from my observation ) Would ideally like to find someone western trained, familiar with modern techniques and with reasonable level of English. oncearugge
I doubt you will find what you are seeking in Thailand. Physiotherapy is not a well developed profession in Thailand and Western Educated Paediatric Physios will be rarer than hens teeth.
Sheryl
Yes, it is a very weak area in Thai medicine. Best bet is Samitivej Children's Hospital which has a peds rehabilitation dept. Sorry I can't suggest a specific doctor. https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/en/smichcenters/pediatric-rehabilitation-clinic/
wordchild
yes, thanks for the replys, Samitivej was on the list and we will now give it a try. Its a little odd that physiotherapy sevices seem to be so limited in Thailand (even in supposed world class hospitals like bumrungrad) but thats been our experience as well.
