I don't know of any company in Thailand using the word corporation in the English translation of their company name and can imagine that Thai law does not allow that. I don't know that, but my point is that the difference is a matter of translation not form of legal entity.

Their company name is "borisat singha corporation jamkad", so "corporation" is not a translation of "company" but part of their company name.

Correctly translated, it is Singha Corporation Co., Ltd., as you correctly mention above. Not "Singha Corporation Limited" or anything like that. The form of incorporation is "Company Limited", not "Corporation".

What are the others you had in mind? Do you know of any company that translates "jamkad" legally into "corporation"?

Here again: The word "corporation" is just a word, a part of the company name. It is incorporated as a PCL, Public Company Limited, not Public Corporation Limited.

You're just being obtuse now. You can not use the word Corporation unless it is an incorporated business. It is not just part of a company name, it defines it legally. Clearly no point in continuing a discussion with someone who doesn't get it.

I bow to your superior knowledge about Thai incorporation law. Never mind that we are only talking about incorporated businesses anyway.

I am looking forward to your knowledgeable advice to the OP how a company is different from a corporation according to Thai law, and also, what the different words in Thai are. I am always happy to learn.
