What happened to Cloud 9 on soi 8 ?

Having been away for a while in the UK I come back to fine out Cloud 9 on soi 8 beach road has closed.

Does anyone know what happened to the band? Have they moved to a new venue?

I seem to recall they bar was struggling for customers before I left, but it seems to have been there forever and I came back to see a huge blank area.

We went to 'We are the World', but the music had too much Thai for my liking and poor quality sound. Though the beer prices are not so bad.

Next we tried the Corner bar on the corner of soi 7 and beach road. The music was better but at 90 baht a small beer, that makes it more expensive than the UK for a beer.

Maybe time to look at either of the 'Wonderful bars' on 2nd road. I recall they were not too bad.

Any other bars with decent music left these days?
