Delhi child rape cases ignite anger and disgust in India’s capital

DELHI: -- Indians are up in arms after the atrocious gang rape of two small children. In one incident two men abducted a two-year-old from a religious festival before later dumping her, bleeding heavily, in a park near her home, while in the second assault on the other side of Delhi a five-year-old was lured to a neighbour’s house where she was raped by three men.

AP Interview: MSF says bombing of Afghan hospital no mistake

KUNDUZ, Afghanistan (AP) — The head of an international medical charity whose hospital in northern Afghanistan was destroyed in a U.S. airstrike says the "extensive, quite precise destruction" of the bombing raid casts doubt on American military assertions that it was a mistake.

Gowdy: New Benghazi emails show 'disconnect' with Washington

Thai man dies in Phuket massage parlour

PHUKET: -- A 59-year-old Thai man died during a visit to a massage parlour in Phuket Town’s redlight area Phoonpon last night (Oct 18). Police have yet to confirm the cause of death.

‘Koppu’ lashes northern Philippines; 4 dead

MANILA: -- Koppu, the strongest typhoon to hit the country this year, made landfall at dawn yesterday in Northern Luzon, forcing the evacuation of thousands, destroying roads, cutting electricity, felling trees, flooding low-lying areas.

Israel: Assailant opens fire on bus station, soldier killed
