Pattani rocked by several explosions

PATTANI: -- Security officials said most explosions were the work of youths riding in motorcycles to plant small bombs at several locations in the town.

The first explosion happened at 7 pm in Khok Pho, injuring four persons.

Throughout the night, security officials said seven explosions happened, some of them planted at dust bins, and some were thrown with intent to undermine peace.

Soldiers and police sealed the road from Napradoo to Khok Pho and advised motorists to divert to other routes to enter the Khok Pho town instead in their bid to stop more bombs to be smuggled into the town to cause disturbance.

But two more explosions were reported at 5.30 am but inflicted no injuries.

Five suspected objects were also spotted and explosive ordnance disposal police were sealing several areas in the town to make sure they be destroyed.

Altogether nine bomb explosions happened since 7 pm until this morning, security officials said and added they were looking into surveillance video cameras to track down the troublemaking youths.

Considering that Muslims are 0.9% of the population, and the proportion of Catholic Latinos is growing at a faster rate, I would say chances of your scenario in the US is "slim to none" over the next 50 years.
