Jonathan Fairfield Posted October 24, 2015 Share Posted October 24, 2015 Hundreds hit by flash flood from Klong Yan sanctuary, Surat Thani SURAT THANI:-- Some 500 families in nine villages in Surat Thani's Vibhavadi district were hit by a flash flood originating from Klong Yan Wildlife Sanctuary and a subsequent blackout Saturday. The blackout was due to the flood damaging three high-voltage power poles in the area. Officials were working to restore electricity yesterday. The flood also caused 20 landslides along roads linking the affected villages in Tambon Takuk Nua, district chief Pinyo Wangsut said. He led officials to inspect damage and to help repair roads.
