geovalin
Meas Sokchea Interior Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Sar Kheng has offered $10,000 to government officials investigating the brutal bashing of two opposition lawmakers as an incentive to solve the crime quickly, a ministry spokesman said yesterday. The six-man team, overseen by Interior Ministry Secretary of State Em Sam An, is probing the savage attack on Cambodia National Rescue Party lawmakers Kong Sakphea and Nhay Chamroeun, who on Monday were dragged from their respective cars and beaten in the street as they tried to leave the National Assembly. Footage of the attack, which occurred at the end of a pro-ruling party rally, was captured by several observers with smartphones and many of the suspect’s faces have been circulated on social media. read more: http://www.phnompenhpost.com/national/cops-offer-reward-themselves

ALLSEEINGEYE
Taking a page from the BIBs playbook. Reminds me of the way some unemployed people in Canada used to start forest fires so they could go out and get a job fighting the same forest fires they just set (the pay was pretty good). The police can commit crimes just to collect the reward for solving them. No conflict of interest here, if that term even exists in the Thai language. cookee68
Cant knock them for it because it is no different to what the BIB in Thailand did, Before you had to pay the BIB to do things for you, now it seems they pay themselves to work, only in 3rd world countries
