lovelomsak
Sounds to me like the busdriver is full of BS I watched the video a few times couldnot see where any passengers any were near the stop. Also for the driver to be able to put out his arm to stop the cyclist it would have had to be on the right side of the bus where the driver is. Lies lies lies Edited October 30, 2015 by lovelomsak
from the home of CC
Used to travel sometimes by bus years ago but was put off by these so called drivers. Either they were speeding (physically and pharmaceutically) or driving dstracted. I would like to see anyone who transports people be required to undergo specialised training/different class of licence/drug tested as in the case of many other countries. Fine the companies ten times the amount stated and possibly they'll start to police their own.

Lies lies lies The people left the bus already 50 meterat the bus stop before the bus stopped again. The conductor sits on the left side so that part of hitting his arm before can very well be true. I love to drive a bicycle but can never understand why some people will go out at night and not even put lights on the bike.
Thian
I love webcams in cars! It's the perfect way to show the Thai what they are doing, they should make a tv-show of it on national tv. Even in Europe they would like to see that because such things rarely happen there. Busdrivers are very selfish as well and just drive that thing like they drive a motorcycle. They are too lazy to stop at the side, drive too fast, drive on the middle of 2 lanes, they just do what they like. And the police.....oh you all know enough about them. Searat7
The video clearly shows how buses often make little effort to pull over to the side of the road.

Thian
The video clearly shows how buses often make little effort to pull over to the side of the road. And there even is a busstop which is not occupied by taxi's or minivans....
ClutchClark
What a waste of time that was. I saw nothing. Well the bus driver got out of his bus, the cyclist dismounted his bicycle, at which time the driver proceeded to serve a can of whoopass on the unsuspecting cyclist. The imagery was pretty poor but thats the gist of it.

Even in Europe they would like to see that because such things rarely happen there. . Car-cams are an insurance requirement in some European countries. I think they are mandatory in Russia, who currently lead in uploads of car crash / road incidents and montage videos onto sites like LiveLeak and Youtube etc. If Thailand adopted mandatory car-cams, they would obviously become the 'hub of hilarity' that is their station in life, and maybe something might actually happen regarding the appalling carnage allowed to happen here. Last night I saw a gang of bikey's come down Petkasem rd, one was a fair bit behind the rest and a pickup made a U turn -- the bike had plenty of time to slow down and I mean plenty, however he proceeded at full speed towards the pickup and then slammed his brakes on and nearly fell off the bike just missing the pickup , then further on the way home we pasted about five bikes with no lights and some with children on board. I think stupid is the answer.

Bus driving is not for the average. Bus drivers need a very calm demeanour and personality to put up with what goes down. I couldn't do it. The higher standard here is very good but the lower standard is atrocious. Something needs to be done about that.

No they weren't two onto one, the 2nd person to come from the bus was the conductor trying to break it up.

espinoza
For me this looks like a case the justice authorities should do something about. The bus driver tried to kill the man on the cycle. Not a company fine. (50 years in prison for the maniac bus driver ) he has to be removed out of the society. He did not kill the man. The company should get a 100 million fine for employing a maniac like this. No background check. Probably not a legal driving license.
