Pheu Thai opposed to MMA electoral system

BANGKOK: -- The Pheu Thai Party Thursday issued a statement opposing the new proposed electoral system of the charter writers, saying the system is neither in line with international norms nor suitable for Thailand.

The Mixed-member apportionment is not proportional representation system which truly represents all votes and makes every vote matter, the Pheu Thai’s statement said.

The system which uses one ballot to vote for constituency MP and turns the votes for failed candidates to calculate for their party-list system would confuse voters and limit their electoral rights to vote for their favourite candidates and party, it said.

"It [the system] would rather create more problems. The Constitution Drafting Commission should better study its pros and cons and impact before adopting it. The country is not an experiment lab for the CDC," it said.

What also amuses me is that pt, udd, trt or any of their previous gangs have ever published or discussed a manifesto which clearly aims at gaining full public participation and involvement, not have they ever published or even mentioned a broad manifesto of their aims.

Their intent is as obvious as the nose on your face.

The Democrats officially declared they don't like the idea either, which was posing. They are loving this....
