My FIL has a Three wheel bicycle,with a basket on the back, he lives just outside the ring road in Khon Kaen. He uses the bicycle to go to a small farm he plays around in, near his house a few miles away. He is about seventy years old.

I don;t like him pedaling all the way there, and back in the hot sun, and he does not want to learn to drive a motor bike or car, otherwise I would buy him a motorbike a took took, used pick up truck or what ever he wants. He is happy with his bike.

I am not in Thailand now and will not be there for at least a few months maybe a lot longer doe to work.and my wife is no help.

So my question is, is there a shop in Khon Kaen that would install a rechargeable electric motor that would make his trek to the farm a little easier

as I said, he already has one, it is one of the three wheel kind, it has a utility basket in the back where he carries tools and other things, I have not seen any of those sold anywhere that are motorised. That's why I am exploring the possibility of motorizing this one.

The golf cart idea sounds interesting, any ideas where in Khon kaen I could buy one?

I did a google search for golf carts Khon Kaen but all I got was golf clubs

I guess Bangkok would be a better place to look but the logistics are difficult.

Yes, checkout www.electricbikesthailand.com they've got a good range & sell online. you can order a kit & they will deliver. Not too hard to put in. Any local motorbike shop could do next to nothing..
