Invest in Thailand? Wow, does the Thai government really think other countries don't follow how their citizens are treated here. How they are singled out in every way. Farangs who get their house and land stolen. How the law protects Thais even when they are the ones being vicimized. British girl raped, tell the bar to close on time. Farang bashes another farang, 6.2million baht fine. 160 baht bar bill, get beat up. Farang tax. Stopping ever farang to see if they brought their license. When Bangkok got flooded, Seagates facility was ruined, from a foreseeable seasonal rain. If Thailand was sincere about investment, it should begin by allowing farangs a process to get citizenship. Not just visas. Because once given citizenship, true change can come from within, politically.

Can you imagine the police being headed by western thinking? The trade off may be to great, which is why I came. California became much like a police state. But I believe there can be balance.

"Thai ambassadors to be briefed on govt policies"

Well actually that is such a good idea. It is always a mystery why foreign governments do not bother to brief their ambassadors on the government policies they are supposed to explain and defend.

Perhaps the foreigners can learn something from this great new Thai initiative.

Well it should be a very short meeting with even shorter content notes.

So the Foreign Ministry conducts a briefing, hands out a script and asks for the impossible by telling the officials to stick to the script and not talk too much !
