Don Muang: Access to Departures From Arrivals on Airside?

Featured Replies

At Christmas, I will be landing from a domestic flight at Don Muang. Before I continue my journey, a bus to Suvarnabhumi airport, I need to access the departure-airside of the airport to get to a specific shop to pick up a gift.

Anyone know if this is possible? Already studied the online terminal maps, to no avail.

The airside at Don Muang terminal is just all one long corridor with the branching wings for the gates. So should be able to just stroll down from your arrival gate to the desired location, then back toward the stairs down to the luggage and exit area.

I remember all arrivals, at least on Air Asia (my flight), as depositing us (by bus) to first floor arrival gates. Departures are on second floor.

Aye Matey, there's the rub.

Do you remember free access between floors?

Was there and tried it tonight.

For the record: it cannot be done, at least if you're arriving by AirAsia.

There is no access between arrivals (ground floor) and departures (2nd floor), airside, at DMK.

Depends on airline- INT all set down by bus-pretty obvious, as all those low-cost do not do transits without rebooking/new check-in.

NOK or some others may use the boarding gangways sometimes for arrivals.

AFAIK there is also NO access to departures-which is separated anyway for INT and domestic and you did not tell in which are that shop was without a boarding pass.
