What moth is this?

Featured Replies

I saw the most beautiful large moth had landed on my bike tir behind my car this evening.

The lighting for the photo from a white led doesn't do its stunning beauty of colour and texture justice.

What is it?

Beautiful markings, though can't help you with the genus.

As an aside, an Atlas Moth landed on my leg one evening when sitting outside a restaurant in Vientiane. It was so big that it went dark overhead as he entered the space above us. Quite a bizarre, beautiful and unique event in my life. Scared the crap out of me at first, though.

Oleander Hawk Moth - see them often.
