Andaman Al
Do we have any Dutch members here? What is the current sentiment in Holland concerning this. Is anybody lobbying for his release etc or appeal?
TuskegeeBen
Humnnnnn interesting process. I wonder if he was ????? oh I don't know ????? let's say - Thai - would he be out on bail? The absurd, to the sublime levels of ridiculousness never seems to cease. A Dutchman, together with his Thai wife, are sentenced (in Thailand, for that amount of time) for committing alleged cannabis marketing, and money laundering crimes, in Holland! Huh? Mr. van Laarhoven's Thai wife, or (substantially) retained Thai lawyer, should have advised him to keep a low profile, because he is not a born Thaiguy aristocrat of The Kingdom. Thus, the Thai Judicial system would not be able to protect him, as a Thai citizen. Guaranteed, van Laarhoven had no lawyer, of any kind, until after he was arrested.
