November 11, 201510 yr My PC has two ethernet outlets, Intel and Realtek, I am looking to try to use the computer a bit like a gateway for the PS4. What I wondered (if it is possible even) is to use the Intel as a wired connection to the router / internet then connect up the PS4 to the Realtek connection, the computer would use the IP Vanish software to establish the connection to whichever country I wanted then allow the PS4 to connect to that. This hopefully would allow me to connect to either the US sites for PSN or UK sites. (I have some region coded games that will only work correctly in their specific region) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
November 12, 201510 yr As much as I know, I think your issue can be resolved by sharing your internet connection. I’m not sure if you can do it with IP Vanish, or they have such tutorial for this, but PureVPN certainly has a tutorial for this. What you wish to do is to connect your Laptop/system with your Ethernet1 and then share the connection on PS4 via Ethernet2 through your Laptop/system. So for this, you will have to set up VPN on your laptop/system manually. Then you just have to play with some connection setting on windows and you should be getting your desired VPN connection working fine on your PS4. Here’s the tutorial of Internet Connection Settings, I found on PureVPN’s support center. Hope it will work for you too. http://support.purevpn.com/internet-connection-sharingics-on-windows P.S. do keep in mind that the last step of this tutorial selects Local Area Connection 3, but you might have to select Ethernet2 to be shared. Hope I helped
