Farang0tang
Hi I need to translate some Facebook posts - Thai maybe with Laos/Issan dialect to English, but the auto translate in Facebook just does not make sense (to me). Have tried cutting and pasting into online translators, but everyone differs slightly or worse! Any recommendations for best online translator? Also got some small audio files I need translated. Please PM me if you think you can help. Maybe some payment? Cheers

jarrcbb
http://www.thai2english.com/ Put sentences in and it will break it down word by word with all possible definitions. But one problem with people typing on facebook etc is slang and words spelled differently than is in the dictionary. In that case I think you need a person to help you. AyG
As you've discovered, there is no decent computer translation from Thai to English (or vice versa). The best you can hope for is translation of individual words with options, but even that often sucks. And nothing I know of copes with Thai txtspeak. cyberfarang
Online translation is called, machine translation that has never been perfected. Most of it gives the basics but for 100% accuracy it has to be done by humans.
StoneVisa
Many Thais who type online usually don't spell the words correctly. Because of this, online translators can only translate certain sentences that appear to make sense. Probably, you want to give some examples of what you want to be translated here.
