PM chairs cabinet meeting before leaving for Philippines

BANGKOK, 17 November 2015 (NNT) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has chaired a weekly cabinet meeting before leaving for the Philippines to attend the 23rd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting scheduled between November 17 and November 19, 2015.

During the cabinet meeting, the Committee for Policy and Strategy Steering under care of the National Council for Peace and Order has sought cabinet approval for the setting up of a negotiation committee in the light of the inspection of Thai civil aviation standards by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Land Transport has sought cabinet approval for the signing of a cooperation framework between Thai and Chinese governments on the development of rail infrastructures ahead of a negotiation between both sides at the end of November in Bangkok.

Also, the cabinet meeting was scheduled to consider measures to promote Thailand as a center for research and development in automobile industry as well as for prototype tests in the region.
