October 14, 200619 yr I dont think the average American would be able to tell you much about anything outside of there state let alone outside there country. Hardly a truer word has ever been typed. In the US, though, "there" is spelled "their" in this context. US citizens, in my experience, depend on their media and family for most of their opinions. As do most societies. Including the people in the best city in Asia. I would say Bangkok is unquestionably number one despite its faults for 2002 or this year. Thais also depend on their families for their opinions and yet Bangkok is still on the list. You say this like depending on your familiy (having the respect to listen to them) is a bad thing...?
October 14, 200619 yr if bangkok has been voted best city in asia why fix anything that is not broken by this i mean, the age laws for alchohol up to 25 [ possibly ] shutting certain activities [ street trders of different kinds ] zoning areas for different reasons, changing opening hours at a whim or does bangkok want to be the bestest best city in asia . if you have the best at anything do not change things dramaticaly just embrace and enhance them.
