Hi,

I need to extend my visa, I have already all necessary documents together. (University ED Visa)

How many days before the Visa expires can I go to the Immigration? I know there is a limit on how early you can go if I remember right.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers!

If you're in Bangkok, I believe that Chaengwattana Immigration will entertain extension applications submitted up to 45 days in advance of said current permission to stay date.

The Immigration office in Chiang Mai accept annual visa applications 45 days prior to the end of the existing visa.

They only accept 20 Visa applicants daily and suggests that applicants should arrive very early in the morning in order to be part of the 20 acceptable applicants.

Just for information, I was told that on my first 60 day entry on a tourist visa that I was early when I tried to extend

for another 30 days after being in country for only 24 days of that original 60 day entry.

I was given the extension anyhow, but I was told I should be in country at least 30 days before requesting an extension.

This was in Bangkok at CW.

But as I said they told me not to be early again.
