Is Australian stat dec proof enough for retirement extension using 65,000 baht monthly at CW?

Hi,

If going to Chaeng Wattana to do my first retirement visa extension, will a statutory declaration from the Australian embassy be all that's needed for proof of the 65,000 baht monthly income method or with they need additional proof ie bank statements from Australia? I don't transfer over 65,000 baht monthly to my Thai bank either as I don't spend that much on living expenses.

Just want to be prepared and will be going early at the start of the 30 days prior to expiry. I know I also need other things but just asking specifically what CW are likely to want or if the stat dec is enough for them.

Could you also tell me if it's necessary to take a copy of the current condo lease with me and also the Condo owner's copy of their condo(blue) book and ID? I have been in a condo over a year and am now on a monthly situation.

They will want a copy of the rental agreement. With signed copies of the owners house book and ID card attached. It can be one that is on a month to month basis.

Went today and all good at CW although busy due to the holidays occurring at the moment. Did not need to show bank statements although I had them if needed. Oz Stat Dec stating over 65,000 baht income monthly was good enough. Had my condo owner's book and ID plus lease copies and did see others that needed that.

Interestingly, I had to sign an extra form stating I acknowledged the penalties for overstay at the desk but that was the only mild surprise at this my first extension after nearly 2 years on my original O-A retirement visa.

90 day report is now early March 2016, another bonus as it dates from my original visa! (early Jan 2016)

No, your 90 day report is early March as it dates from your application for extension yesterday. If it had been dated from January, the 90 day report would have been in April.
