The lowest of the lowest...

Personally I don't have a problem with it. Better than the money going to waste. That said

It should be left to kids and they should wait until the Krathongs have floated into the

darkness. I am far more concerned about people who sell or use plastic/polystyrene

Krathongs. The government should outlaw them and promote awareness about

polluting Thailand's rivers and ocean fronts. thumbsup.gif

It's funny how when farang moves to Thailand he suddenly believes in this karma crap

You don't need to move to Thailand to know we get what we've earned.

Hope things improve for you and yours. Ungrateful coot that you sound like.

Nithisa is right. Karma is understood by people all over the world.

"you get what you deserve"

"you reap what you sow"

"what goes around comes around" ................etc.

To me , it sort of implies that there's an interactive entity of some sort watching all and controlling consequences. So how can people believe in karma but not God.

I don't know about karma. I know that I feel good when I do a good deed or i feel guilty when I do something bad. That's karma to me. However, some, a lot, of folk have no conscience at all.

Yes, one would think that a people who are (ahem) "raised" in a Buddhist-based culture, would understand that simple (360 degree) mathematical principle. Apparently not, especially from what I've seen of Asia, thus far.

Gents, I've got a flight to catch. Season's Greetings and a Happy New Year 2016 to you all. See y'all next year wai.gif

Whatever makes your delusional self feel better.

Personality I'll stick with common sense rather than relying on a higher power to sort things out.
