What Do Thai Girls Expect From A Farang?

klink

Recommended Posts

Not to take away from the above, but it might even be better to avoid the bars, restaurants, beer gardens and the like entirely. This goes for both guys and gals, whether farang or Thai. Take some classes, get another degree or maybe do a mini MBA. Learn how to speak ..... whatever language. Learn how to cook something new... You might find the folks you meet there more interesting and with more in common with you than you would maybe expect.

:D

If the Thai middle- and upper-class would avoid all the exclusive 'massage-parlours and clubs', bars and restaurants -and study instead- a lot of them would have to close down, wouldn't they? :o

I'm not talking about general patronage. I'm talking about not viewing these places as anything more than places of entertainment, as it pertains to the discussion at hand: places to make long term partner selection.

:D

And if elephants could fly we would all have to wear very big hats. :D

I completely agreed on Heng's opinion. Yet, that sounds like a utopian vision.

For instance, I like going to the bars and clubs for the purpose of dancing and meeting people. Whereelse to meet new people? It is easier to start conversation in those places somehow. I don't know was it because the effect of the alcohol or what. But generally speaking these night spots are the easiest way to meet and mingle. However, I would avoid all the seedy bars and clubs. Besides I was not "welcome" in the seedy bars anyway :D

I do meet people from there and from time to time I do meet interesting people. However, the "friendship" only lasted in the clubs. Nothing extend beyond and develop into relationship. Basically, I don't trust men that I met in the clubs/bars .... :D Should I change this mind set? :o

You should be skeptical of all people. Trust and Friendship are earned. That doesn't mean you have to close yourself off to others. Just pay attention. You can generally trust your friends advice. If your friends don't like someone you should listen as to why. They will often see things you may not see. Good hunting. :D

I wasn't born to be a skeptic. My bestfriend is VERY skeptical. Sometimes it lost the fun because she would give an annoying look at the guys. :D And the funny thing is, when I spot a cute guy, her comments will be, "he is a playboy!". :D And yet!! her fling is not so good looking but a playboy too! how ironic! :D I guess that's the main reason why I don't carry on beyond the clubs' entrance. Not much fun then, huh! :D:D

Sorry, OP... :o

Or don't get out of the tuk tuk. On second thought maybe you shouldn't get in.

Since the topic is what do Thai girls expect....what is it you expect?

If you can answer that then your part way to getting what you want. Like so many threads like this one, there are as many answers to that question as there are Thai girls to answer it. I think the guy asking is looking for similarities between Thai women. Since I am not a Thai woman I can not speak from experience.

MONEY!!!

and we have common sence

but realy all about money not love

Perhaps it's about time you explore other parts of Thailand outside a girlie bar.

Truth?

The girls are hardly average Thai girls with a decent job, though, gramps.

There are decent honest Thai girls out there. A lot of them. If you can be bothered to look. I am Thai. My boyfriend is English with a great job. And he trusts me enough to tell me all his credit card info in case I have to do transaction online for him. If it were just about money to me, I would have sucked a shit load of money out of him already. But nowt. Everything is going great. Am I disappointing you lot?

For those who refuse to acknowledge decent local girls' existence, it's time to pull your head out of where the sun don't shine and smell the roses, mate. :o

Many men go to Bangkok/Amsterdam/Berlin etc for only one reason. It should not be a surprise to them that if they go to places with bar girls they don't find anything but what one should expect to find in those types of venues. People see what they expect to see wherever they go. There are few people that actually see anything different. But his cartoon was still funny.

Your boyfriend is silly for giving you credit card numbers though. Not because you are Thai but because you are a woman. Thats like gasoline to fire. :D

She wants the same thing that every girl in every country wants.

To be loved for who she is.

To be treated with respect and not as some object.

Someone to share her life with (and in some cases someone to grow old with).

And if you are having problems in any of the above categories, why the heck should she want to stick around?

You're right LC, the majority of Thai girls are decent, I know, I'm married to one and I met many before marrying.

People who tell you otherwise , well, as you said... :o

First off, we are all not money grabbing little bitches, you know. :o

Sometimes, it's difficult for Thai girls who have dated foreign men before to date Thai men. A good number of Thai men wouldn't touch Thai girls who have been with foreigners. So, if a Thai girl has dated a foreigner, her chance of hooking up with a Thai guy gets slimmer.

LOL, tell that to Tippaporn

From my experience of two years living in Thialand, I think the above comment is true. Most young Thai women (under 25) I have encountered would not touch a Farang with a ten foot pole. They prefer young, handsome & sexy Thai boys thier own age, until a few years later & perhaps after a couple of babies & the Thai man ditches them. Then they will consider a Farang, becauase they have no alternative.

Are you sure they're not chinky Thais?

Are they over 18?

Must be in Bangkok.

I'd say many Thai girls prefer farang.
