December 2, 201510 yr I want to see the monkeys in Lopburi. What is the best way to travel to Lopburi from Bangkok?

December 2, 201510 yr Highway 1 would be the normal route - you depart Bangkok as going to Don Muang and continue on that highway all the way to Lopburi circle and turn left toward town. It is the old route to Chiang Mai but is good highway all the way. The alternate would be Asia Highway (route 32 now) but that is not as scenic a drive and a bit longer I believe. Also requires long turnoff to right to get to Lopburi.

December 3, 201510 yr Yes. The Lopburi Hualampong section is double track. The commuter trains are an interesting ride
