webfact Posted December 3, 2015 Share Posted December 3, 2015 Cosmetic surgery defect complaints risesBANGKOK: -- The Office of the Consumers Protection Board (OCPB) says it received 355 complaints from people who were affected after having undergone cosmetic surgery at beauty clinics.The complaints were filed to the OCPB from January 1- October 19 this year.OCPB’s cosmetic surgery problem subcommittee member Dr Chakkrapong Chunhasevi said the figure represented a twofold increase when compared with the same period last years when only 158 cases were received.Most of the complaints involved with deformed nose after Rhinoplasty surgery, substandard silicone gel in breast implants, drooping eye lids, sunken noses, uneven breast sizes after augmentation.At the same period, it also received 433 complaints from people using services of beauty clinics and spa which are not regarded surgical clinics.Most complaints dealt with skin allergy symptoms such as skin rashes, skin irritation, and increased skin spots, skin burns after laser treatment.He said after investigation and talks, it was found that most problems arisen from unskilled staff and no specialist doctor assigned to the cosmetic clinics to give advice.But what was a concern was the operation of bogus specialists, and surgeons, he said and advised people to check with the office at website http://tmc.or.th/check_md to inquire the true identity of certified specialists and surgeons if they are really qualified as stated by the clinics before paying for the services.Source: http://englishnews.thaipbs.or.th/cosmetic-surgery-defect-complaints-rises -- Thai PBS 2015-12-03 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My wife had breast inauguration. i think that means made bigger, Her choice, We /I did some research, We went for a Good proven Doctor, He was brilliant, even took me to see the operating room, I checked on the quiet if they had resuscitation equipment. While i was there i watched a lot of women and ladyboys come and go, It seems that they will put a pair of tits on your forehead if you pay. Seems like anyone who has watched ER, House, or any other medical show feels they are good enough to perform any sort of surgery. Do your homework people. No surgery is without risk, no matter what you have done. The most routine medical procedures can fail miserably at the best institutions with the best doctors. Nowadays there are beauty clinics around every corner that can do a nose job. Not surprise to the number of complaints rising. Too many fake doctors and DYI folks who are starting beauty clinics.
