watgate
I was at the immigration office in Chiang Mai and, while in line waiting to get a re-entry permit, read on the wall that a Certificate of Residency cost 191,400 baht per reference 47 or 51. What I was wondering is if someone wants to live full-time in Thailand, do you have to pay this quite large fee in order to obtain a certificate of residency so you can live full-time in Thailand? expatbrit
The 191,400 Bht relates to securing residency a long and complex process ! KhunBENQ
"Permanent Residency", not a topic for the masses. Unreachable for the majority of expats. Comes just after citizenship. An endless thread since 2006 with 2560 posts: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/74654-cameratas-guide-to-the-permanent-residence-process/ And a certificate of residence costs between 0 and 500 Baht (teamoney). Or they are unwilling and pointing to your embassy. A disputed topic. Edited December 3, 2015 by KhunBENQ
