Cheapest way – under 10 thb – to Chaengwattana Immigration by bus or railway - with maps

Recommended Posts

I’m planning to make a simple guide for Bangkok buses but it’s gonna take a while so I decided to start with something easier.

Title says it all. This is a plain guide for guys -living on an extremely tight budget- like myself for instance, who can hardly afford taxis or any means of transportation over 14 baht (except in emergency cases) but I believe it will be useful to all users regardless.

Buses to/from immi (ticket fare less than 10 baht):

51 - 52 - 66 - 150 - 356

-see trip maps down below-

The only bus from above which stops right in front of the central immi building is only no 66 (red bus, costs 6.5 baht, sometimes free).

Any other bus will drop you off in the main road entrance -Chaeng Watthana soi 7 - so you have to use the regular free shuttle service thereafter.

You can also take the train to Lak si (= Laksi). The ordinary train within Bangkok costs 5 baht (rapid/express trains cost 20 but there’s no difference really) so check ordinary train departures.

From Laksi train station you can get a bus or walk straight to immi (& vice versa) as it is not far – up to a mile methinks.

Not 100% sure if no 51 is operating nowadays, I think it does.

Updates/suggestions are most welcome!

Good post but one that needs no replies to it.

I can imagine the posts that will be made on it like one that has been removed because of the this part of the topic text.
