I have been reading through the posts, and think I understand that it is very difficult to get a one year extension on my Non-Imm O Visa unless

1 I have over 3,000,000 Baht

2. I am over 50

3. I have a Thai wife

I don't have any of these. I am here voluteering on a sustainability project (organic farming, natural building). I work hard, and would like to continue doing this for at least another year. What are my best options for extending my non-imm o visa? I can get a letter from the organization confirming that I am working for them (not for pay). My visa expires Oct 27, so I would love some advice.

I live in Chiang Mai.

(Here is what the grapevine has told me. Singapore or Laos embassies will grant me an extension if I have a letter sent there from the organization I am working with, but others have told me they won't).

I don't want to fly back to the states and buy another one of these visas, but I will if I have to.

Thanks for any advice

Working? for pay or not means a Work Visa so dont say anything about that.

I am working, but the organization is not official. They don't have status as a foundation yet, so they cannot get me a work Visa. The consulate in portland said that doesn't matter as far as gettiing a NON-Imm o visa, but now that it is time to extend, I am wondering where to do it, or if it is possible.

Does anyone know what I should do, or if it is possible to extend my VISA.

Thanks for any advice or shared knowledge.
