Here's a screen cap from the video the guy made and the pic of his back:

lwEWj7n.jpg1449231260_condo.guy.back.jpg

Notice the small metal bars on each side of the duct. Notice how it is a single duct. Notice how small the duct is.

Physically impossible for him to have gotten his whole back in that tiny area. Physically impossible to have been "sealed" to that duct yet not have indentations in his back from those protective bars. Physically impossible to have that single, small duct seal his back across both shoulder blades with such force that he was unable to break free, yet only leave partial indentation marks on both shoulders (indicating, as I mentioned before, that he was not "sealed" to the duct).

Those arent metal bars. they are the tile grouting.

Opening still way too small to cover his whole back though, looks like he had 2 bites at that cherry.

Yeah I just saw some pics on the ThaiRath site where that pool has been drained and now you can see that the duct is in a recess in the wall. When I watched the video the tiles looked black and looking straight down into the reflection from the water made it hard to tell.

They also have a pic of another foreigner sitting in that pool with the jets going full blast and apparently there is no suction (the foreigner barely covers the recess with one shoulder). Too bad they don't have a cctv in the pool area (for safety reasons of course). The condo management also noted that the system has been in place for 3 years and there has never been a problem/complaint about it before.

It seems within an hour of the incident the wife was already contacting the corporate management, and the next day they were going to sue for damages. But when the condo people tried to get her to sign some paperwork (verifying that she had been staying there or something) she refused. (It seems to when she first contacted them, they asked which condo she was in and she couldn't remember.) The condo management paid the medical expenses (35,000 baht) as the Weitzels were leaving on 1 Dec and couldn't wait for the insurance company to pay out. However without her signing any paperwork now it seems the condo management will be stuck with the expense.

One statement I've found at the bottom of a couple of the stories says something like "However, the Post stated that it had already collected evidence and consult a lawyer." which seems to be in reference to the condo management perhaps going after Mr Weitzel ?

"OK Nook, now that you are in the water, we are going to turn the power back on.

That way we can make sure Farang man wrong about shock. Ready?"

Ouch, that's a direct hit in the family jewels for the "scum farang chang wife beater crowd" folks. Looks like it's the approved local attire for local fix-er-uppers, also known as .. chang.

"And he clearly has the 20X25 marks on both sides of his back."

Perhaps he was so pi$$ed he decided to go for symetrical burns/bruising?

One beer? That would explain a loss of capacity right?

If he is a real Aussie then you must wonder if he has 1 dozen beforehand.

But to many other things dont add up here, the biggest of which is the identical patterns on both sides of his back. Hard to explain that one.

I remember when living in Australia many years ago, a case where people were sueing a spagghetti sauce company, claiming to have found broken glass in the contents of a jar of sauce. They examined the samples of glass and were able to say the shards given as evidence could not have possibly come from that factory.

That with all the Aussies trying on the stolen belongings travel insurance scam, one must wonder about this-"cook up a scheme to sue and get rich" mentality.

possibly a side affect of nanny overpoliceing state?

His story is BS.

His injury is consistent with being sucked, but its not as serious as he claims. He probably leaned back at the hole and enjoy the suction, kind of like getting a hicky. He probably did not notice it until afterwards. There is no onsen there, probably a jaccuzi tub.

Wife has deleted all the info she posted, why delete when you are making a claim?

They said they checked in to the Address, probably a Air B n B reservation. In reality, these type of stays are not allowed.

Wife said he fell unconscious on the way to the hospital, yet he was able to stay upright on a motor bike.

i dont trust THai construction. its the worst. concrete solves all problems? they allow unskilled workers into their site to do unskilled things. meanwhile, the thai overseer, who also is unskilled, doesnt check. i have witnessed the cluster fck that comes from thailand not training or even bothering respecting their trade. Even rich snobby kids who learn construction in forgien countries, when they return to thailand they realize they have no skill or imagination but they will over charge you for a copy of someones else work.. its the hard workers who seem to posses most of the skill.
