Next month chartering a sailboat in Phuket. Does anyone know where I can go in Bangkok to buy crusing guides, maps and such for sailing the area?

You proabably want the Andaman Sea Pilot. Not sure where in Bangkok to buy, But here in the south it's avalable in many "toursit" areas.

There is another book I used called 'Sail Thailand'. When I got on board my charter boat I found it had one anyway, along with good charts.

I went cruising in Feb, not Nov but this is what I found:

Hard to sleep at night as the cabin was too hot & stuffy

No real wind in Feb when I was there, probably better in Nov

You need to take as much water as you can (both drinking & in the tanks for washing) as it's hard to find.

I enjoyed the scenery & hongs of Phang Pna bay (sorry about the spelling) but the water is very milky & shallow there, much more memorable were the beautiful islands further south in stunning clear seas.
