Korat Issues Retirement Visa! How To Get Dependent Visa?

Featured Replies

I walked in to the Korat Immigration office this afternoon, and walked out 2 hours later with a 1-year Non-Immigrant visa. The only papers they wanted were my income certificate and medical certificate. This is an O-A visa.

Now my husband needs a dependent visa. He's 49, while I am over 50; that's why I got the O-A. The nice Immigration man said his pension could be counted as my income since we are married. :o The Korat office told us we had to first get him a Non-Immigrant visa in Bangkok, and they would then make it into a dependent visa. He simply does not qualify for any category of Non-Immigrant visa, and that's why he needs the dependent visa.

How do we get that visa? What papers will we need? We have a window of only about 9 days to do this before he hits the 21-days left rule.

Congratulations.

Nice to know that I just can stay at home (in Korat) for my renewance on December next :o

2 questions:

Non imm.O-A (A stands for pre aproved) will only be issued outside Thailand in your home of residence.

I suppose it is a "O" ??

The last days it was the talk that for retirement you will NOT need a medical certificate anymore??
