I got a single entry tourist visa in Houston yesterday and, after pointing out entry and exit stamps in my passport from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador, the person who processed my visa application stated that I might be required to present a yellow fever vaccination certificate when I entered Thailand.

I haven't been to any of the countries which have been declared Yellow Fever Infected Areas since August 2015 and the information I have found (quoted below) on the CDC and Thailand MFA sites seems to indicate that it is only required for passengers traveling from or through the countries on the list and there is no vaccination requirement for someone who has merely visited those countries. Are there any applicable regulations specifically requiring the yellow fever vaccination certificate to enter Thailand if one has visited one or more of the high-risk countries within a certain period of time but is not arriving from or transiting through one of the countries on the Yellow Fever Infected Areas?

I would rather not get a yellow fever vaccination that I don't actually need now unless I am certain it is absolutely required to enter Thailand. When I arrived in Bangkok in December 2014 and October 2015, I was never asked for a yellow fever vaccination certificate even though both times the immigration officer spent some time checking each page in my passport and would have noticed the stamps from several countries that are on the list.

From info here that comes from the IATA. database. It seems you will not have any problem since you have not been to one the listed countries within the last 10 days.
