Merely asking as a lay person having been into a Thai goldshop, selling what I assumed all was Thai gold ... The percentage of pure gold, in the various items presented, ranged from 98.0% to 99.7 %. There are only a few places I buy gold from in Thailand. Be careful if you buy from gold shops as very often the items purchased are not what they seem. After about 6 months I realised I haven't bought her anything. She's the plainest, poorest looking Thai girl with a Farang boyfriend in the history of Thai dating so I bought her a necklace and ring. Necklace weighed 3.8 grams and was 2900 baht. Ring was 1.9g 1650 b, Rama5 pendant was 1.9g 1600b. These prices sounded reasonable to me. Apparently it was all 23k.
