LONDON: -- More sunshine and warmer temperatures in 2016 than this year. That’s according to a new global temperature forecast from the UK’s Met Office. This year has already been provisionally declared the warmest on record due to a combination of global warming and a strong El Nino.

Data shows that so far, this year is running at an average of 0.72 degrees centigrade above the average for the period between 1961 and 1990.

The new forecast for the next 12 months which was arrived at with a combination of computer models and statistical methods shows the global average is likely to be 0.84C above the years between 61 and 90.

Last week at the COP21 climate changed conference in Paris it was agreed the world should work to limit the temperature rise to 1.5 C.

Yes and it also may not be the warmest year on record. And also this year the sky will be blue in many places.
