sunoco27
Does Khon Kaen have an Immigration office and is it easy to renew your annual retirement Visa and get your re entry permit on the same day without making an appointment? It is very difficult here in Chiang Mai, as they are under staffed.
ubonjoe
Yes Khon Kaen has an immigration office. Do you plan on moving to there so you can apply for an extension at that office?
Eclipse
Khon Kaen Immigration are very helpful and friendly. Just show up and you will usually be out within an hour.
hansnl
KK has an immigration office. Situated on Mitraparp Road inside the region 4 police academy. Very friendly and helpful indeed. Last time I was there for a 90 day thing, about 6 weeks before the renewal of my extension of stay came up, the officer asked me if I had an income declaration from the ambassy. I had, so he offered to do the extension also. It was not busy, to be honest, but I spent the grand total of 16 minutes in the office, and left with a 90 day report fulfilled, a renewed extension of stay and a re-entry permit. And was treated very well indeed.
SpokaneAl
I was under the impression that one must do this at the immigration office that is responsible for the location where they reside.

KhunBENQ
Longest time I ever spent at KK immi was about 45 min (some difficult cases before me). When in the past I did my 90 day reports in person the best time was about 2 minutes. (not including the time to wait for the officers late arrival at the desk) Nowadays they have four desks with only one ticket queue, no more dedicated "90 day" counter. 90 day report via internet worked three times this year. Staff has changed somewhat over the years (all quite young). Same female office boss is there since at least 2011. Fortunately I know about Chiang Mai only from the forum.
