What type of Frog

Featured Replies

Went in to my kids bathroom to tidy up, and saw what I was sure was a toy frog, went to pick it up and it jumped about 2m...what a shock! It was a bugger to catch in a bucket and release downstairs, it was jumping everywhere, good fun though. Think about it, that frog must have climbed 2 floors high on the external wall and somehow got in to the bathroom...impressive.

What type of frog is it (i.e. what's it called in English and Thai languages)?

I know these can jump and stick that shouldn't be possible.

Jump from the wall and hold on a leave that is vertical and parallel to it.

Amazing animal

If you lick them it superglues your mouth shut.........

Anybody know?

It could be a Common Bush Frog. (Polypedates leucomystax).

Take a look at some online pics and see if there's a similarity to your visitor.

I hope I get to see one. A 2m jumper that sticks to walls would make a pleasant change from the astonished-looking oong-ungs I occasionally shake out of my gardening boots.
