Over The Moon: Rare full moon to bring joy on Christmas night

BANGKOK:-- Tonight space will give us a special gift that Earth hasn’t had since 1977 -- a rare, bright full moon on Christmas Day.

According to NASA, the full moon is called Full Cold Moon because you know... it happens in winter. This rare moon won't happen on Christmas again for another 19 years, so make sure you look up at the sky tonight.

It's a sign!!!

Nah prefer looking down the neck of my leo bottle in case it runs out of beer today let alone in 19 years time.

We live by a large body of water and driving back tonight, it looked sensational.

Topped off a great Christmas Day for the extended Family.

I just went outside to see it. Fantastic.

Boy are my eyes getting bad. Looked at it for about a minute then I saw 2. Should have taken my glasses.

Or perhaps those beers you are also seeing was real and you just had a few too many.

The funny thing is that MOST if not ALL thais have absolutely NO clue how the moon effects the weather and seas.

Rare? It's cyclical like all full moons isn't it? Is it any more rare than a full moon on any other date?

That said, it was stunning.
