Thai Science Min discovers way to dispose of insects in rice

Featured Replies

this is still 100x better than than what all us farangs have invented while in Thailand...

i must put beer down.......walk away from bar girl........and think...

nah...

Not all foreigners are beer swilling drop outs. I know many including myself who have a wealth of knowledge experience and wisdom to pass onto Thai people.

Unfortunately many Thais are unwilling to accept the benefits of the experience of others, we don't have all the answers but we can help if they would care to listen.

You owe me beer for getting you many likes!!!

Having knowledge and not putting it to good use is not good!!!

How can you just sit on such a wealth of information while the Thais struggle!!! You must help!!!!

I hope your Thai is super fluent.

I am not selfish, I use all my knowledge to help all of mankind!!!

for example, "waitress, did you know the sun is hot??"

lame. and a total wast of money. my farmer family, have solved this issue .... decades ago. plus all the rotten rice should have been sold for BIOFUEL.

Far easier to dewp-FREEZE the rice for 24 hours which kills the adults and pops the eggs. Freezing also does not destroy the enzymes essential to health as does microwave. Yes, of course, the insect bodies and eggs remain in the rice! Far too few to affect flavour.

We could become the hub of rice bug killers. Need a new ministry and building of course with parking for a thousand cars.

Just telling my better half about this article. Between eating a plate full of rice with a side order of various cooked bugs her only comment was "interesting".
