THAILAND -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, who is also chairman of the National Council for Peace and Order, will call on Privy Council Chairman PremTinsulanonda at his Si Sao Thewes residence on Dec 30 to give him a New Year blessing, according to Lt Gen Pitsanu Puthavong.

Lt Gen Pitsanu, Gen Prem’s close aide and chief of the office of the Privy Council’s chairman, said the prime minister will be accompanied by all deputy prime ministers, the permanent secretary for defence, the supreme commander, commanders of the three armed forces and the commander of the Royal Thai Police.

Gen Prem will be available to meet them at 9am.

After that representatives of various associations and organisations will be allowed to call on Gen Prem to deliver their New Year’s messages.

Lt Gen Pitsanu said other people who wish to give Gen Prem their blessings are advised to send their New Year cards instead.

In a separate development, it has been reported that on Dec 30 at 6.30am the permanent secretary for defence, the supreme commander, commanders of the armed forces and some other groups of people will call on Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwon to give him their New Year’s wishes at the army headquarters before proceeding to Si Sao Thewes Residence.

Multitasking man Gen Prem :

Blessing coups and New Years......................................coffee1.gif

Will anyone be visiting His Royal Highness? I haven't seen him lately. I miss his smile!

Do they really need to write an article about everything that comes out of these <deleted> mouths?

Wouldn't have thought any more arse licking would be needed after delivering the coup for him & the other powers to be.

Will anyone be visiting His Royal Highness? I haven't seen him lately. I miss his smile!

His Royal Highness Prince Vajiralongkorn was at the head of the Bike For Dad parade in Bangkok earlier this month.

Perhaps you missed him? It was in all the papers and big news.

I sincerely hope General Prem forcefully conveyed his recent very strongly-worded admonishments about the evils of corruption being the Number One scourge of Thailand.

And given his 'unimpeachable' line of Communications, surely to ignore that message would be, well, what...Lese something. or utterly disrespectful at least.

No I'm talking about the father of the prince.

So much that could be said.

But best just to shut up on this one.
