30 day tourist visa extension

Featured Replies

What form is required for this? whats the code?

Seems a "Notification form for house master, owner or the possessor of the residence where alien has stayed" is also required at Jom Tien.

Whether you need a TM30 form or not depends upon where you are staying. If staying in hotel, guest house and etc that is registered with immigration and does the reporting online you would just need a receipt for the room.

I see. They didnt even ask, just said fill it in. Anyway i was in and out within an hour which was good, pretty painless.

Hello, what's the minimum time to apply? One week before? What's the normal (and comfortable) time to apply for an extension in bkk? Thanks.

There is minimum time to apply. You can do it up to 2 weeks early.

When they open in the morning or at 1 pm.

Brilliant. Thanks for that. Much appreciated.

i wonder if this will be needed at Chachoengsao immigration, staying in girlfriend's house? thanks.

Only a few offices have been asking for ir when you do a tourist visa entry extension. Mostly ones in large tourist areas.

You could have her fill out one in case they ask for it. Download: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/tm30.pdf

they did indeed want the "address confirmation"/TM30 at Chachoengsao immigration, thanks for help!

Hi, I do apologize to go slightly ot but my question is somehow related to the topic.

I came in pattaya for my first time yesterday to stay here one month.

Without really thinking I booked my plane to go back home the 5th of February while I arrived the 6th of January (I thought...1 month, is ok...sadly is 30 days and January has 31 days and so my visa expire the 4th of February).

Now I was wondering what is the easiest way to solve this situation?

A friend of mine told me to ignore it and that I'll pay something like 500 bath at the airport when I'll go back home for late departure.

Is it that simple and true or is it better to go to the immigration office here in pattaya?

Mainly my concern is to don't get banned from the country like it would happen in USA or Australia for late departure with expired visa) and to don't actually pay thousand of baht of fine (500 is reasonable ).

What to you suggest? Is it true about ignoring the issue and solve it at the airport without any problem but just a few hundreds bath of fine?

Thank you for your help.

Regards,

Massimiliano

A one day overstay is not a problem at all. Nothing to worry about.

If leaving from either airport in Bangkok you will not even be fined the 500 baht for the overstay because it is less than of 24 hours.
