PM wishes charter to pass referendum, assures general election to take place
NNT News

BANGKOK, 29 December 2015 (NNT) –- The Prime Minister has stated that he wishes for the new draft constitution to pass referendum, adding that the general election will eventually take place.

The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has said regarding the drafting of constitution that he personally wishes for this draft to be approved by the public in the referendum, as the constitution drafting committee has put much effort in the drafting process.

The PM says he has already prepared the next step to proceed if the charter fail to receive public approval, insisting that general elections will take place no matter what the outcome is, while the government will continue more public relations campaigns next year to promote understandings on national reform and constitution among the public.

On the inspection for corruption relating to Rajabhakti Park, the PM said the Ministry of Defence’s inspection committee will make a public statement on this matter tomorrow (30 December 2015), and other agencies such as the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission will carry out further inspections should they be required.

He also added there will be no adjustments to the Cabinet after New Year holidays.

Yes, but in what century???

the government will continue more public relations campaigns next year to promote understandings on national reform and constitution among the public

TRANSLATION:

Article 44 will remain in place so that only the Junta government will be allowed to conduct public relation campaigns. Everyone else will be limited to listening and responding.

Just make a copy of the 1997 constitution and put it to the vote. However your one may take a lot of cheating to get passed.

If he really wanted this draft to pass the referendum then he wouldn't have the CDC put very unpopular rules or laws into it. It's that simple. Unless they are totally deaf, dumb and blind then they know what is unpopular.

Why don't they print sections of it in the newspapers, so that Thai's have a chance to read it and talk.
