BANGKOK, 30 December 2015 (NNT) –- Civil servants from different agencies have paid a visit to Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha to give him New Year greetings.

During the meeting with the officials, Prime Minister Prayut expressed his appreciation for all their hard work throughout the year and urged all government agencies to continue to join hands in developing the country.

Gen Prayut said that the government’s origin might have sparked disapproval in the international arena but he believed that concrete improvements in the nation would win understanding and acceptance in the global realm.

Gen Prayut restated the government’s aim to eradicate disunity among Thai people, adding that integrity and cooperation among civil servantswould be a force for the country’s prosperity.

Civil Servants - the 4 million small people behind the coup.

Tenured positions, guaranteed monthly salaries, pension, dedicated health care insurance, excessive annual holidays, social status above the riff raff.....

These are the people that can bring the madness of the last 10 years to a quicker resolution, should they find the moral courage.

For someone who doesnt like the press, he sure seems to need them to release his hourly thought of the moment.

I like to see a headline " PM bring happiness to the people. Forgets to issue any stupid but obvious statement today"

Uniforms like those of the doorman of a grand hotel but with more medals.

This is how important they see themselves, buffoons to me each and every one of them.
